After coming out of or going into a Northwest winter, your property may need extra care. If the leaves are not kept off the lawn and beds, spring will arrive with an unwelcome and unhealthy landscape.
Over the winter, snow, ice and winds can compact leaves into your landscape cutting off the needed air circulation. This will cause patchy, uneven lawn growth and the leaves left in your beds will provide the weeds with nutrients that will cause a springtime explosion making for a time consuming and difficult job down the road.
This service consists of a thorough cleaning of your yard in the spring and/or fall which will encourage healthy growth and provide for an immediate well-kept appearance. We deep edge all beds, remove debris, rake bed areas, install pre-emergent weed control and, install new mulch when needed. Mulch is a great way to combat the drought issue that we continually face in the summer months. We recommend a heavy layer of 2-3 inches of mulch be applied around all trees, shrubs, and flower beds to conserve water, prevent weeds and build up the soil. Mulch can reduce water loss by up to 60%.
